Elsie is the name of the lovely woman in this picture and she is my great-grandmother on my dad's side. her beautiful eyes have continued on in her daughters (Great-Aunt Ruth and Great-Aunt Charlotte who are the remaining children - Ruth is 100 and Charlotte is 98), my Aunt Joan and I think I see my youngest sister - it's quite extraordinary to look at this photo from the 1800's and behold traces of her today.
