Another night of terrific theater - tonight at the Steppenwolf production of The Seafarer. The play was doing so well it was extended an additional 2 weeks - we got lucky and snagged 2 usher spots. yay! A dark tale of despair, pain and redemption set in Ireland - excess drinking, fighting swearing, card playing and the Devil - yet, suffice to say this is great, great theater - very assured writing and accomplished acting - John Mahoney is always outstanding . I do love the Steppenwolf - Go, go, go!
