ok, so it's a 'brown thread' I caught on camera but this is my first DF I've been able to catch on camera, give me time to hunt down the blue dasher or slaty skimmer or darners :) -

Dante may even been referring to a damselfly and calling it a dragonfly - they are different and damselflies are much more commonly blue than the dragonflies -
