CRES, which is the acronym for Costa Rica Entomological Society is one of the butterfly farms that the nature center buys it's chrysalides from. I'm trying to make arrangements to somehow be able to make time to see the farm during my Starbucks/Earthwatch stay -
Here's the link with information on the farm and butterflies. In additional to many other species, the haven obtains owls from them and on their site is a nice closeup photo of one. In the previous post I posted a photo of 2 owls in our haven feeding on mangoes, bananas and oranges. They are huge, as big as my palm.
